Water & Your Hemp Jewelry Hemp Jewelry is made for water. However there are a few things you should know. If you are looking for your hemp jewelry to look NEW for a long time, water exposure is not recommended. Especially for colored hemp. If this is not a concern then wear your jewelry in the water all you want. Closures are not all created equally. Though the Lock -n- Loop is great for keeping your necklace safe, the effectiveness of the closure will become compromised with continual water exposure. If you want your jewelry safe but are always in the water, I would recommend ties or loop and ties. Expensive Glass on your hemp jewelry is always so great! Looks great, gets attention and who does not love a colorful piece of handmade glass by Annie and Jodi... however use your best judgment. It is handmade glass and the ocean is a big place should you loose it. In closing, I would just like to say, hemp jewelry is hemp jewelry made to where and enjoy.
